this is a series I have been working on in which I've used the book as a metaphor for the body involving a delicate balance of control in the process of repetitive folding and the chaos of pouring coating the work in paint, glue, plaster and gesso. this also shows a kind of duality between myself and my work in despite my involvement in its creation in the end it is the sculpture itself that has agency over how the paint falls drips and warps around it's form.
